Outlook has a Safe Mode too

Outlook being cranky?
Here is a quick and easy trick to pull on Microsoft Outlook when it won’t open, looks funny, or just will not cooperate…

Click on Start, Run (or type run in the search box)
in the run box type: outlook.exe /safe and press enter

This opens Outlook in Safe mode and will usually work, then it can be looked at to see what might be holding things up.

 

P.S. If Outlook still looks a little a little out of whack, try this:

in the run box type: outlook.exe /resetnavpane and press enter

This resets Outlooks view ports back to default and can help give you a baseline for tweaking it out again.  🙂
